Ben H!
Try water bleeding it, it's supposed to be better than using fluidQuestion: How can you put too much pressure on the fluidif the pads don't let go of the wheel they are pushed in to far and will be rubbing against the rim, which will ware down the padEdit: do you mean the tpa is stuck and the lever is not responding very quick or it is too stiff Edited September 5, 2008 by Czartrials

jack14366
its probibly either a broken tpa ,Or if he uses a lot of tar that can stick to your pads. if its on the back hold the front brake and give a good hard kick of the pedal and hopefully job done . Kieran24
Sounds like the pistons have seized. Try taking them off and put some oil onto the outside of the piston where the pad clips on and let it sit for a little while. Then, put the pad only the floor and press down on top of the cylinder, with your foot if you have to. Once it's back in (if it goes in) re-bleed the break (bath tub bleed will do) and pump the lever while putting more oil on the outside of the piston, you'll probably have to push it back in by hand a few times.
