Jamie East Posted September 3, 2008 Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 Hi, I am wanting to put a rear maggy/V on my saracen mad, but it doesnt have v brake mounts. It looks like the V mount can be screwed into the frame, but i have no idea where i can get the screw inpart (the sticky out bit). Tried the search, but nothing has come up. adam trials Posted September 3, 2008 Report Share Posted September 3, 2008 I believe they are called brake lugs, you should be able to get them from most bike shops, i got mine from Halfords, your best bet would probably be to go over to Halfords or your local bike shop and ask them, shouldn't be any more then about £7 really.Adam. However, I doubt you'll find them on older bikes at the tip, as before disk brakes there was no need for the option to unscrew the brake bosses and they were just welded on to frames (I think). Had quite a few of these in there...Go to your local Halfords, and if they have decent Bikehut staff, ask if you can simply have some?
