balfa
Having no luck removing a tensile freewheel from a dmr revolver hub. I don't have access to a vice and even if i had a vice I can't see it being much use as its a wheel not a crank! Anybody have any suggestions to help remove it? Any other topics are front freewheel specific
Mark W
If you did have a vice, you could clamp the BB tool on while you used the wheel as a lever itself to turn the freewheel off the threads. If you've got some long bolts for your Revolver you could try bolting the freewheel remover tool onto the freewheel with that, then get an adjustable and an extension bar to use on the tool itself whilst holding the wheel still. That's pretty much the only way round it without a vice - you just need to make the spanner as long as possible, then heft it off!
Muel
I can't think of a way of doing it without a vice, you need to somehow clamp the BB tool down and the use the wheel to turn the freewheel off, or clamp the wheel down and use a big adjustable and a pipe.Havn't you go a Black 'N' Decker workmate or anything? Or any way of clamping either the tool or the wheel?

Pump your tire up nice and hard, bolt the tool onto the freewheel, and get a big spanner. And maybe a friend to help you.
joey vajda
If you have a nice steady hand or you know someone with one, you could cut it off with an angle grinder with a zip-cut wheel. My dad did it for one of my friends, but that was on a cranks, but no big deal. Or try some other power precision tool for removal.
Ross McArthur
Slowly but surly lobottomising your bike.
balfa
Update: Managed to get it off using a vice to clamp the BB tool in and three people using the wheel for leverage! Slowly but surly lobottomising your bike. Yeah sad but necessary. Off to see the surgeon again in a week.
