Sick Of This Rain

Ride the rain! Never my mate died thanks to a wet rim :( and my brake slips like hell when wet.

I don't want to sound like a dick, and I genuinely don't mean this in a disrespectful way, but you can't live your life in fear or hold back from doing what you want to do because your friend died in a freak accident. People get killed in freak accidents doing mundane, every day stuff (crossing the road, falling down stairs, etc.), but that wouldn't stop you doing those activities, would it? I'm not saying that you should forget about your friend or anything like that, but don't be scared of doing stuff because he had something tragic and unfortunate happen to him.

If you ride street, the rain shouldn't really effect your braking. No the water isn't as clean as tap water, but it's fairly clean, and in my experience my brakes, have worked just aswell when riding in the rain compared to riding in the dry.

The rain doesn't bother me anymore, I just ride. Unfortunately, alot people choose not to ride, so I tend ride alone. The way I see it, if you can pull a line in the wet, then, you'll have no problem doing it in the dry. Doesn't matter if ride comps or not. Riding in the rain will improve your riding, providing you still push yourself like you would normally.

He is right, in the sense that if you've got less grip from your tyres and less bite and hold from your brakes, you have to ride better to overcome those problems. Doing a line when it's bone dry compared to if it's pissing is down should make that pretty obvious. With natural, even more so.

i agree!

i dont ride when it's raining but i do when it has been raining and when everything is wet. i find it challenges me abit and it makes easy lines abit more challenging.

I'm NOT trying to sound harsh but in your previous posts you have said you 1 know someone who died tapping a wall 2 you know someone who died doing an abubica

something is starting to not ad up :S

I never said he died doing a wall tap :S it was an abubaca on a curb.

Stop being such a fag. Get out and ride in the rain, develop your skills, SkiLLz.

It's kinda hard to do trials with no brakes dont you think? i use tar on rear rim so it slips like hell and my front disk fails at the sight of water.

If it was something as small as a curb, then what I said before definitely stands:

Grind your rim then? It's £10 max for a grinder, takes 2 minutes to do (Don't even need to take your wheel off...), and you've got your braking sorted, at least for the back.
