JT!
Me and a friend are planning a trip to London, specifically Piccadilly circus area.It seems that a hotel in the middle of Piccadilly circus is going to cost a lot more than one 3 miles out, however because of that we'd have to use the underground to get there and back a quite a few times over 3 days.I've never really been to London so I'm a bit clueless. Which would be my best bet? What the hell is an oyster card and why should i have one of them over just buying tickets? Thanks!
Joe Papasnap Maher
You dont need an oyster card.Stay elsewhere..and get an all day travel card each day. £5.60 or somthing like that.If the main reason you want to go to london is to see piccadilly, your gonna be dissapointed lol

Both around piccadilly. All there needs to be is a good bar.

JT!
I didn't choose, I'm just going along with it.But yeah to london from up north, £55 for two nights in a shitty hotel, £40 return ticket. Maybe about £15 on the underground. £60 for phantom for the opera.= £170.I know there's all the other expenses to add to that, but that's a cheap trip! Caleb
ive been to London once with two mates to see the cure, ended up in wembley and used all the trains just fine.you come across as a lot more organised than myself so id go for the cheap hotels a few miles out and get the train, or get a taxi and jump it? hehejust thought too, i stayed at a travel inn and complained in the morning as we saw a card offering a refund if we had a bad nights sleep.i paid £80 for a double room, and snook our mate inn, had a huge bed too and shower etc, was a proper nice room nothing wrong but just bull shitted my £80 back and got a cheque a week later. stick it to the man !
