Ashley-Wood
as i said today riding with you, try and go fast and have more of a kick so you can get your back wheel higher up the wall! also make sure soon as your front wheel is on top of wall put all your force to the front end and go right over!and go at a slight angle this also helps!im not an expert so i might be wrong anyway haaa Edited August 30, 2008 by Gu-Triials

mrBENN
Hi I say the best way to learn is to watch videos and things and see how they do them and then just give it a go

Captain Scarlet
First off is speed, you need a good amount of momentum going into the wall to get you up the wall, as with backwheeling or any other move in trials (of course, the momentum you create must be used accordingly with technique). The main aim when hooking is getting your weight over the front end of the bike when in hook position, to physically lever your bike up.The technique that I managed to grasp is to hit the wall with lots of weight over the front (on steeper walls going at an angle so you bad foot ends up close to the wall is good, again look at videos and you will see this natural angle in most cases), then once in hook position, immediately use your momentum to endo the rest of the bike up, and then from here just land it or switch it.TrashZen has some good pictures and animations for references.http://www.trashzen.com/wheel-hook-front.phpNow get sorted and practice. N.Wood
You're hooking waist height walls?Anyway, as has ben said the quicker you hit it, the better chance you have of translating that into upward motion and getting yourself ontop of the wall.
