JonMack
No! No to HiFi!!Also, chances are if you get a new geo frame you will need a new rear wheel build, cos the 121 wont be wide enough sadly Edited August 28, 2008 by Mark King

r2wtrials
As a matter of interest ... why no to the HiFi ?And what frames would you recommend to look out for going on the things that have been discussed above?
Mark W
It's got a pretty high BB, so it just generally feels wank-tastic for most things. It's alright on the back wheel, and that's about it, really.
r2wtrials
right... stupid question to ask you guys with your nice posh frames, what was/is the Phase frame like? Ok as a play bike for someone like me? If i can get one very cheap would it be ok for the time being. The geometry appears to be 1070mm, 5mm rise and head angle is 72.5.... slightly more modern than my old Giant frame, and remember i am not into street tricks and big gaps etc Just a bit of playing and making up some sections. Luke Rainbird
right... stupid question to ask you guys with your nice posh frames, what was/is the Phase frame like? From what I've seen, and brief experiences on them, they seem like really decent frames! If you can get one cheap, then you'll be in for a treat
Ash-Kennard
yeah the phases are the best 26" beginner bikes my far, change the rear hub, cranks, and put it to single speed and you have a pretty much awesome bike
Nick Manning
The phase bikes do ride nicely. If you get one, all you'll need to do is change the rear hub, so you have more engagement's. But if your fairly new rider, it wont make any difference untill you start hopping and putting the hub under more stress.I love my Phase. I ride the 1.2 The only things I've changed are the wheels, cranks, front brake, pedals and rear magura mounts and tensioner.I changed the wheels to hope pro 2 hubs on koxx rims, the cranks to Echo, the mech to a 74 Kingz tensioner, front brake from magura to hope trial, pedals to VP double cage and the rear magura mounts to tensile offset, as the koxx rim is too wide for a magura to be run on the frame. Here's a videoandHere's some pictures
r2wtrials
trying to get a frame only... then i can either put my Hope hub but with a wider rear rim in or go for a new wheel when money allows...sadly every thing has gone up, gas, electricity, car tax etc etc... and it all requires payment about now so will have to do it gradually.
