Hendrix
Had a read through their contracts, and it seems to be legitimate. It looks like it's paid for through advertising and third party sites, but I'm not sure how that could work on such a large basis.I will say though, their T&C's are vague on certain areas. Will have a better read when I get home Qtrax is the world's first free and legal peer-to-peer (P2P) digital music site. Music lovers can discover new music and legally download full-length, high-quality versions of their favorite songs while compensating both the artists and the record labels through non-intrusive and relevant advertising. So I wonder what kind of advertising their speaking of. I can't download as it not available for mac yet... I'm going to assume there are loads of ads on the download pages etc etc... PaRtZ
downloaded and installed. Its shitfor a start its only available for downloads in the US. And even still, the yanks have access to a very limited array of tracks, most popular artists being readily available, as they are from other sources though.Maybe with time it will flourish
Hendrix
It's saying that you can have the music, but you can't share. I'm assuming it means you can only also listen to it so many times then it stops working. If it's cack, someone will pick it up soon enough! And now seeing how bad it is, I won't download it! How many adverts are there?I also just had a proper read of the contract. Looks like the music is hosted elsewhere, and it's almost a referral to the tracks. Which, unless they're hosted on a Sony, Universal, Apple server, with permission, is illegal. Damn Edited August 26, 2008 by Hendrix
