greenmeansgo Posted August 26, 2008 Report Share Posted August 26, 2008 There are two sizes you need to know in order to replace the BB: shell width (the width of the part of the frame that the BB screws into- usually 68mm or 73mm) and the axle length. Which axle length you need will depend to some extent on what cranks you have, but if you're keeping the same cranks then just replace it with a new one of the same size.
