The Hitcher
Evening all. Had a thought today at work whilst I was rather bored, as per usual. Don't know if its a good idea or not, I shall let you be the judge of that... Like the pad reviews topic, I thought maybe a Frame Review topic would be a welcome addition to the forum, more so maybe among the new members, as I see alot of people asking about certain frames and whether they would suit that frame. So instead of making a lot of new posts they could check out this topic and see how well frames are rated. If other members could write a short review and add other info such as height, weight etc other member can see which frame people of the same build have chosen and how well they compare to others. Price, pictures and a link to the manufacturer or shop could be included and also any faults you have had with the frame. Comments?

matt rushton
How about,Make:Model:Year:Quick spec used with the Frame:WB:Chain stays:BB rise:Head Angle:Strength rating out of 10:Weight rating out of 10:Overall comments (Like if the frame was specifically good for Taps or sidehops or whatever):Use that as sort of a Guidence? I think that it might not be such a good idea, as the spec of a bike normally has as much to do, with how the bike rides as the frame does. Sidehops are not as easy as a purely trials bike, a lot of work to keep on the backwheel due to the more streety geo.

Frame is flexier than aluminium but this doesnt detract from the ride, it can help cushion shocks and give a bit more spring. Relatively expensive compared to some other frames but a 2nd hand bargain Triton also offer a full custom geometry for the same money. Frame is quite flexy around the seat stays. Way better frame than my previous dob and echo control frames. Relatively light as well. Would be nice to see these with a built in brake booster, and horizontal dropouts like the 09 echo control frame. aener
This will be of limited use, in my eyes.First off - there's already been one instance where you don't know if it's a stock, or mod (if he hadn't written in the bottom bit).Next... All you have to do is change the stem, and the feel of the bike becomes very different....Or the bars.....Or the forks......Or stackers being under, or ontop of the stem. There's just too many variables.Only use I can see this being is the overall bits...Brand:Model:Street/TGS:Weight-strength ratio:Price:

Taps really well. Gaps are effortless. bunny hops, there do-able. but not with a long stem. The only down side, is there wuite a lot of flex. easilt sorted with a booster.
