The Duck
what the f**k.Bessell said today about him, the name didn't mean anything to me, very sad none the less. Having clicked on this thread and scrolled down to the pictures my heart sank. Was on this massive oxford ride a few months back (lots will remember it, when porter first got his Gu from Ko). Soundest guy ever. Hadn't ever met him before and he acted like he'd known me for ages. Had a top sense of humor too.Really sad to hear about this...RIP x
HarshRider
this is stupid, i cant really express in words. nick hobbs was one the most most social, happy and funnyest people. i feel gutted that i havat spoken to him in the last couple of years.i remeber riding with nick for the first time, way before i joined this forum. it was in portsmouth when we bumped into each other on his old giant!rode with him loads of time years ago.will truely be missed!i hate the world we live in which takes away precious life, where people can take a life this easliy. MadManMike
I can say I never met or spoke to him, but as ever it's tragic.2008 really is sucking for Trials Forum - I know you all are, but keep your heads about you when you're out and about. Live your lives by all means, just play safe. We've lost enough good young people already, if there is someone upstairs, give us a break man!RIP Nick. philfish
I would imagine most of your guys on here would not know who i am. I dont go on here anymore and stopped riding a couple of years ago. I started beggining of this year and get on the phone to Nick who came out riding with me in Southampton about 2 months ago. I have not sen him in about 3 years before then but we were always travelling the country with our mates Matt Vokes and Kia. He was always the one who was funny and had us in stitches before we even got to the venue. It makes me feel really really gutted that the last time i saw him in Southampton would be THE LAST. I think everyone's comments so far about him being one of the nicest blokes, funniest, most sociable, and all round nice guy speak for themselfes. I hope that sometime his family all read this and reflect and instead of being sad. Just remember.................. noone can say that Nick wasted a single second of his short life, he lived it to the best he could and filled everyone else with energy.I dont think he would want us all being sorry for ourselfes and want us to remember him for who he was...........a damm good trials rider, a top bloke and he touched everyone who came into his life with that something special he had.Nick, you will NEVER be forgotten, i have been thinking about the memories i have of you all day and can say you were a top guy. Couldn't have happened to a better person.R.I.P Nick

Olly C
Horrible news again, saw Joe's name on MSN and couldn't believe it yet again I remember seeing you in the early Jonny Jones videos amongst others and always seemed to be messing about and having a laugh, straight away remembered one of your funny bails in the videos, looked like a great character, once again a big loss to our community..R.I.P. BONGO
I don't know Nick one bit, not on msn, or here or anything. First time out of all the times on TF somehting like this has happened. Still almost feel the same though. It's another friend of friends, another rider, another motorcyclist. From the video's and words from everyone, he was clearly a talented rider, and a great bloke and this has had another great effect on the forum, that nobody ever wants again. Far too many times this has happened.Awful to read, my thoughts to his family and every one of his friends on here and everywhere else...Bongo
