Well i would say go and talk to these people you have seen around town and ask if you can have a goand see what you like, personly i prefer 20" because they are a lot easyer to throw around. If you are after a cheap bike head to ebay i got ma base for £67 and upgrading it part by part

Hi mate

the problem I had was the same as you " I'm not rich " I got a t pro brilliant bike got some maggies for it now its good but I keep getting better now I need to upgrade I've only had it a year .in trials you progress so fast by the time you buy a 400 pound bike then upgrade you may as well buy a good one to start with . Dont join me in my hole its hard to escape !

hope I helped

jack

p.s 20" rule !!

i think its best to just bite the bullet with the pricing, a cheap bike - say onza tbird (i dunno how good these are now btw), you will be replacing things like cranks, freewheel/hub quite often.

you need something that has rear magura, good rear hub and good cranks.

mediocre things will last you good enough, but over some time its best to upgrade to things like proII and middleburns etc
