Mine was £550, and it can do photoshop and halflife and stuff

You can get one the same spec for cheaper now, mine's a year old. For £500 you should be able to get summat that does what you want, for sure.

for £500

* AMD Turion 64X2 Processor TL-60

* (2.0 GHz, 1600 MHz, 1 MB Cache)

* Genuine Windows Vista ® Home Premium

* 3 GB Memory

* 160 GB Hard Drive

* Lightscribe Super Multi DVD Rewriter

* 17" BriteView Widescreen Display

* NVIDIA GeForce 7150 Graphics Card

* Integrated Webcam

* Wireless Enabled

which is way better even than i said

integrated webcam too, haha.

click for more laptops from currys

Other people might suggest cheaper sites, so even better. Currys, though, if it needs fixing there's a shop you can walk into, unlike some internet sites.

May be no use to you, but I might be looking to sell a 6 month old Dell Vostro laptop shortly

Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz Dual Core processor (effectively a 4Ghz processor or therabouts due to the dualcoreness, and everything with 'core' in the name is better - think hardcore, metalcore, nerdcore etc)

2Gb RAM (DDR2 SODIMM I think)

120Gb or so HDD

15.4" widescreen TrueLife monitor

Card reader (SD etc 5-in-1 job if I remember correctly, I've used it once to grab snaps from a camera and that's it)

9 cell battery for uber long life (get about 5+ hours battery time from a charge)

Think that's most of the spec - all pretty good and is more than enough for Photoshop, and I've played a few games on it which all ran fine

It has a standard Vista install on at the mo, but I could probably chuck on a copy of XP if you'd prefer

Not sure what I'd be after for it, but it'd be less than £400 :P

Give me a shout if it might be helpful - it's currently a spare as I've got another laptop now so this is going un-needed - would do it cheaper for a TF hero
