notsurereally
Hi, just wondering who on here would buy tar if a uk trials shop started stocking a top quality trials rim tar, and what price would you be willing to pay? Many thanks
Dale-Hill
Nothing,Why pay for it, when you can get it free? Dale
Greetings
Yeah, just ask for it instead of paying.Although manufacturers could introduce premium branded tar which they'd scrub off the roofs of their warehouses and factories.Deng tar > Koxx Tarxx premium tar?Koxx tar would probably be more brittle while being a tad lighter.Sorry for the randomness. Captain Scarlet
All your tar has turned into a drippy mess on your rim. What kind of tar have you heard of people using?I was out riding in pouring rain the other day and could hold myself on the back wheel as normal when my rim was completely soaked (please no innuendo's).(I just had to make sure I dropped the front when gapping )No I would not buy it, as I bought a block of it a year and a half ago, and its only got a bit smaller in that time I have been using it. Abdab
That massif block of tar. Is shit...UNTILLYou take little chunks out of it and then put it in microwave. Let it boil down to like a liquidy substance then take it out and let it cool. Once its cool mould it into your own littl shapes and let it harden, its best tar you will ever have. Then buy echo reds ! Thats perfection, but easiest way is to just get it from roads.Oh and to topic, no i wouldn't buy it, sorry.
JonMack
What kind of tar have you heard of people using? All the tar I've ever seen people using just goes shitty in the rain and doesn't work at all.
Dr. Nick Riviera
I heard grinds don't waste precious fossil fuels.
suhieb
Personally i wouldn't pay for tar, because in most case you can fin it easily on streets, building sites etc for free, but if you can not find any then i would probably buy some as it makes a difference and is a lot cheaper than buying duel disc brakes, getting rims grinded etc. I suppose it depends on peoples own situations to whether they would pay for it. Sidehop Stuart
Some one on here's got loads of it!! It's so easy to get hold of for free.Just get a screw driver and go and get some off pavements where ever there is some make sure its dark though stealing is wrong Edited August 16, 2008 by trials onza
kaarel
or vee brakes this men knows better hes stuff!don`t start selling quality tar. Start selling quality v brakes!
Jason222
I think tar is great if you can find the right stuff. Tar that hasn't yet been melted works amazingly. Used/melted tar/road tar doesn't seem to work all that well at all.Plus grinds don't last long enough...
