BenLeacock™
Coust - YES! Been told reds die on grinds ? Never tried though ?Rich Pearson swears by heatsink reds!
Echo-Scott
I've had CNC'd cousts, CNC'd reds, snowies and xmas pads and all have been unbelievable on a light grind. Coust and Reds last forever on a grind, snowies wear down quicker and the xmas fairly fast. Edited August 10, 2008 by Echo-Scott
Luke Rainbird
Coust - YES! Been told reds die on grinds ? Never tried though ?Rich Pearson swears by heatsink reds!I've run Heatsinks (cousts and reds) for ages now, and they've always been excellentNot had any issues with wear (my current set of reds have been run on a grind for around 4/5 months now, and still have well over 5mm of material left. What more could you want for £8?!

Greetings
Try Yellows. I gave Yellow CNC pads to a friend for his birthday and within a matter of an hour his brake was amazing - super loud, loads of hold and bite and all that on a grind without tar or any other sticky substances. He said the brake was too aggressive to his liking but for some that can be a good thing.edit: Cousts on a smooth rim are good, with a bit of tar they're just as good as on a grind as long as the rim doesn't get wet or dirty. Shaun H
Heatsink reds > anything else I've ever tried....and holy crap I've just realised that they're still only about 2/3 worn after I've had them since the start of the year! Jason222
I just got some coust pads, had rock blues before. My setup was working quite well with the blues, put the cousts on the same rim setup, and they were much louder, but didn't hold as well. I'm going to regrind before next ride, see if that helps a bit.

Matthew_Gibson
Think the snowies are slightly harder compound. Both really good...Is it just me or is the heatsink website down?
Rich Pearson
Coust - YES! Been told reds die on grinds ? Never tried though ?Rich Pearson swears by heatsink reds! The set of Reds I've got on the rear have been on there for over 8 months now, and I reckon they'll probably see me through to the end of the year. And yep, they are the shit when it comes to raw stopping power and bite. Even in wet weather they really seem to get to work after a few minutes warming them up.Couldn't ask for anything better.Rich

You have to let pads bed in before they start working properly, so by re-grinding your rim you've now got to let the grind sort itself out, then the pads wear into the grind, etc... Mr Rankin
Have got cnc cousts front and rear on a grind and they are amazing.......mega bite (have been over the handle bars twice which was a embarrasssing) hold is mega too. Steve got them out to me in about 3 days which i thought was awsome of him. A touch on the pricey side thoughtom
