16 years later
Just seen this in MBuk. If they were to make a trials frame out of that stuff it would be so light but probably not that strong.Edit pic's upLook with photobucket. oakley
its not even that light mate. Infact thats one is heavier than nearly every trials frame thats has come out in the past 3 years. Obviously if it was a trials frame you would savea bit of weight, but compared to the amount of strength your losing i would deem it pretty useless. 16 years later
Ok maybe it's not light but it is a pretty interesting and novel way of making a frame and looks pretty nuts.I’m not saying make a trials frame out of it, I just thought it was cool

I'd probably go with titanium for XC though.

spaceman
I can't imagine if it breaks or snaps, and all those bits of carbon get stuck into your skin... I would rather say that frame is more of a piece of art. haha.
Revolver
That frame is weirdThey made loads of typos on that page as well too, hahaIt just looks like a mess of wires. Cool idea though, but that would never do trials.

Muel
That is super light, 4lbs is 1.8kg. I only know because that's what mine is.
Jamie_Neal
Looks nice but very pointless for xc in Wales as it would fill up with mud very quickly and end up weighing more than my Patriot.Fine if you live in California or if they did a trials one.Good to see new things being tried though. Rusevelt
its not even that light mate. Infact thats one is heavier than nearly every trials frame thats has come out in the past 3 years. Obviously if it was a trials frame you would savea bit of weight, but compared to the amount of strength your losing i would deem it pretty useless. That is where your wrong. the majority of trials frames on the market weigh on average under 5lbs, except the lighest Koxx and Dob frames that weigh under 4lbs. a 2lb 16-17in frame is an exceptionally light frame weight, so a trials frame made out of this stuff would be strictly competition use.
