spaceman
Check out the "snailcam" alternative of the frame.I saw it on some street frames before - it's a really good idea. But the bolt for the trials bike is a bit too big.He should have made the bolt hollow too.
Bigman
Front rim does look a little silly, but he could still get another hole in there, move the valve hole to where the join is and then put abig hole where the valve was Adam
TJ.
the bike looks like it would not withstand being ridden down the road let alone doing trials on it.

Greetings
Making a bike light isn't difficult. In fact any moron can do that. However, it takes some brains to make a bike light and still keep it as strong as one that weighs 2kgs more.I've just come back from a huge ride, a chap there had a 9,3kg Kamel. The genius of that bike was that the strength wasn't compromised one bit - all the parts used were strong and light, the tyres were snakebite proof and wide. Now that's an achievement. Matt_Thibeau
Thats madness! This whole drilling evrey possible thing on your bike to make it lighter is a problem! wheels are one thing but to do that to a frame? why dont you just get a really light frame.EDIT: Im not too sure but it looks like he even ditched the bash guard? ..::littlesam::..
Drill holes in your inner tubes you save so much weight i think its nearly 0.1 of a gram ( that will make a huge difference when it comes to drop gaps) Any way on a serious note it does look nice, and i do hope it lasts for you Sam X
baladi
Who said anything about making the bike lighter? Chill bro's...He had to much spare time on his hands, at work, and did a few good quality mods on his bike for the loks of it.If he would have went in only for the weight loss, he would have dumped the rear tryall tire, the steel screw at the dropout and more like that. So, consider only the looks of it. davey1991
easy was to save another kilo there Take of the tyres who needs tyres when you've got tubes,Why spend so much money on a bike then go mad with it, i understand a bit here and there but turning it into cheese makes it as strong as, well cheese. Mark W
That rim is rediculous.Surely it won't last,There's nothing left to it.Haiku attempt: Fail.
Revolver
I wonder if you made a trials rim that could use UST, whether it would save even more weight? As well as making it pinch-proof.(for those thinking, but trials rims have holes cut in them, you could in theory seal the rimtape around them.) Mark W
Mike used to run a tubeless setup. Mike maybe still does run a tubeless setup.A dedicated UST setup would probably suck cock and balls though for low pressures and landing at an angle on something. Revolver
Perhaps..Certainly your rim is more vulnerable. But sooo much weight saved!!hahaI personally don't give a shit about weight, especially on my ciguena - It's got a DH rim and a dirt rim, and yet it's lighter than my old t-pro, and my mate's zoot.I just wonder what it'll be like when i get holey wheels for it - the v!z ones. Won't be doing it for a good while though yet.
JohnyMilton
Pics of Custom Helmet and rimOk first thing, the rim, thats taking it to far, it looks as if its going to fold as soon as its built,Secondly why the hairy hell do you need to drill your Helmet, why? are you trying to make it lighter for some odd reason? Probailer2
Ok first thing, the rim, thats taking it to far, it looks as if its going to fold as soon as its built,Secondly why the hairy hell do you need to drill your Helmet, why? are you trying to make it lighter for some odd reason?Maybe because more holes in helmet gives more airflow, and thus it doesn't get so hot as an undrilled helmet...Helmet is strong enough even if drilled.
