Fishy
I'm stuck between an inspired and a 24uk. 24uk would be my normal choice because of the rear disc mount but I'm not sure if I like the look of them now with the more straight tubing. Not sure about your 24uk either, is this one of the new mk2's? cai
I've never riden an Inspired before, so I can't compare this to one - but it rides so nice. Bunny hops, 'roll-ups', manuels and spins are so easy on this (and today was my first ever ride on it - so I'm bound to improve, right? ). And standard trials things are more than do-able - taps, up to fronts and pedal kicks are all easy. Even side-hops are okay to preform...And yes this is an MK2, note the massive gussets and the three different brake mounts?Glad to see you've got taste (on the way... )You'll be happy to know I've got my heart set on the Trialtech forks too but the ones with 24" mounts.. Fishy
No, isn't there supposed to be a 'tweaked' version of the 24uk, so you can slam the seat?
cai
Oh, this is form the first batch. Second batches have the top tube slightly raised (looks a little better),the seat tube is angled forwards more (seat slamming capibilities )and the built in booster allows up to a 2.7 inch tyre - mine fits wider tyres too now (with the help of a hacksaw and top up paint ) haha. Matthew_Gibson
does the front brake not feel wank with the way you have it??
cai
Do you mean with it run down inside the steerer? It doesn't effect the brkae what so ever - why should it?

eskimo
I have no idea why people try and say their builds are clearly the best looking ones about. It's not like the spec is anything amazing either. You half arsed it with that 99p seat which weighs like a kilo.
Ben John-Hynes
possibly the nicest looking one yet??There are so many reasons why that's wrong!
cai
I have no idea why people try and say their builds are clearly the best looking ones about. It's not like the spec is anything amazing either. You half arsed it with that 99p seat which weighs like a kilo. I didn't say my bike was clearly the best looking, I said its possibly the best looking MK2. You know what the word possibly means right? As in its possible that mines the nicest, its possible mines the uglyest, etc...And besides I've only ever seen the two MK2's that steve first built up (one red, one black) and I reckon mines better looking. I can't compare my 24UK to those I have not seen! I've seen loads of MK1's on the Heatsink website that are absoloute stunners and they put my bike to shame - but I said mines possibly the nicest MK2.Also no way is the seat half the weight of my frame Infact my bike is actually pretty light (which I was first shocked about due to cro-mo forks + bar, and DH headset + bb + tubes). So even if I did umm 'half arse it' with a seat that I got cheaply, its not holding me back in any way - just saved me money! There are so many reasons why that's wrong! Care to point out a few reasons? Then if I ever upgrade I'll try to ammend these reasons Any other comments or suggestions for/about my 24UK? cheers guys xx
_Owen.
Ill put my opinion on what you can do to make it better! Get a shorter stem, with more rise! Get some bars without a crossbar thing. Some deity's or something like that, about 2.5ish " rise. Get some smoother tyres, so it rolls nicer and looks alot better.Make it single speed and get a propper tensioner, it will look soo much less cluttered! Get some nice forks on there, some fattys or something, anything but onza! Get a better seat post, prefurably black one! And then, it will "possibly" be the best looking mk2 yet.
