Greetings
Here she is, 4 days before a 14 day natural ride up in the mountains. Hasn't been in this good condition for months, wheels have been rebuilt, tyres changed, hubs and headset serviced, all important threads loctited into place and various parts changed to Trialtech ones, including some bolts. Was going to run a pair of the HSB Yellows, unfortunately my frame won't take pads that are thicker than 10mm inc. the backing There goes my one chance to use some different pads - been running the same Cousts for 2 years now!The bike rides like a dream, pretty confident it's reached a stage where I won't ever want to change it unless I try to improve the geometry with another Triton project. For those interested, bars are 221Ti Montys extended to 740mm, gear ratio is 18:17, cranks are 221Ti 158mm. Rear rim is a modified BT. The lot weighs around 10kgs including a massive rear inner tube.

Tom_
18:17 must be soooo light to rideman, loving the look, so niceMy mate had it, it was light but its not bad. That was with 170mm cranks though.Notice hes running like 158mm montys which means it will be stiffer than on a traditional stock with 170mm cranks. That does look SOO nice though, wish my bike looked that good/light.

The Duck
Awesome Inur. Amazing build. Forks are a bit heavier than I thought you might have gone for? But apart from that its probably the best speced bike on the forum. I'd love to ride it. Seriously nice geo on the frame too.

Greetings
Thanks guys I also remember him saying he could get them stays from 370 to 390?That was with a strange gear ratio, now use 18:17 which gives a chainstay of ~373mm. But yeah, the dropouts are really long, can easily get them to 390 but the bike then needs a disc brake. Would like to try a 73* head tube, lower rise and longer front end sometime in the future but for now this is perfect Rear rim is holding up well, hoping to see some rear Trialtech square hole rims in the future. Ross McArthur
Thats one nice bike son.Why dont you get Tensile mounts for your brakes then you coud run thicker pads??? thats what I do.

Ross McArthur
Frame gets in the way of the backings yea I did think that might be the case, thats a shame.peace

But that's the problem with custom frames, you always fancy something different even if it does ride amazing.
