bikeperson45
Went out on my bike today, and instead of turning left (towards all the street stuff) I went right (to try and find some natural stuff). Had to go about a mile on single speed to find some good stuff. Eventually I did. On my first go, I was crap. I then realised how hard it is. After a couple of attempts on some logs. (Some moto trials people used to use the place) started enjoying myself. I realised I'd have to ride it differently from street because I was focusing on wheel positioning a lot more. (Also found out I nedd to get some new tyres) After alf an hour, I started pushing myself a lot more and going out of my comfort zone. I did my first biggish drop of about three to four feet. I know this isn't big compared to some people, but for me it was big, especially since it was my first time not landing on secure concrete. I know a lot of people say natural's boring (like me) but I found it just as fun, dare I say it, funner than street. Besides, you can apply spins and street moves in natural. Plus, it's nice not having people get in the way. I'll be going there a lot more. Everyone that hasn't tried natural should.Someone even dumped a load of wood there so could set up some obstacles!Yay dumping law breakers! Guest
glad you like it. natural rules. many more lines and much more challenging. really tests your fitness too! Edited July 23, 2008 by Bearded Midget
The Duck
you just discovered the best bit of trials!!Yes.Just don't fall off riding natural. Its so so much easier to avoid hurting yourself riding street (same goes for hurting your bike for that matter).
forteh
Would love to have some decent natural to ride, theres bugger all round here really There are some large boulders concreted into the carpark at the local aldi that are pretty fun to try different lines across but hopping over the same 5 rocks can get pretty boring pretty quickly.Must start looking further a field and find somewhere in the near vicinity with some natural
PaRtZ
Just don't fall off riding natural. Its so so much easier to avoid hurting yourself riding street (same goes for hurting your bike for that matter).True, but the more you ride it, it becomes much easier to bail properly, spotting where to put your feet before you jump off the pedals

Greetings
you just discovered the best bit of trials!! I cant imagine not riding natural, its soooo fun!Exactly! Going up into the mountains on Monday to the best natural spots in the country. 14 days of riding ONLY natural with about 30 different riders from around the country. Trials can't get any better than that.
Matthew_Gibson
I prefer riding rocks logs and natural in general, there just isnt much to ride in my town.... i have one quite good natty spot about 20mins ride away, I walk a line, and try to ride it clean. it feels nice when you do so. to I do it again, Keeps me happy for ages!! spode@thinkbikes
I love rocks/logs natural. Not a big fan of edging my way up mud banks...But I really do feel it's almost like a different sports when you do natural.
Tom_
natural scares the shit out of me....I think the natural (sorta) near me is abit sorta dodgey though.
