ti-mig-guy
I really expected to do some math, before I opened this thread. Don't you all use the metric system over there? You are talking about Miles per Gallon, not Kilometers per liter or something?2001 Daiwoo Nubira2.0 liter 4 cyl38 mile per gallon average Manufacturer says 30-32MPG. When new thats what it got but I removed some weight and added cold air intake and exhaust reprogrammed the computer and added about 8mpg-that was 100,000 miles ago, so those parts paid for them self.I drive it like I stole it most of the time, so in town it's like 32mpgAt 70mph, fully loaded for an extended trip I can still get 36Mpg with the AC on. OD404
And in similar news, my department has a fuel budget of $15k for fuel (tax free so half the price of pump fuel) this year for our three development test cells. We WILL use it all too
AdamR28
Don't you all use the metric system over there?'Officially' I guess the country has converted (it's now illegal to sell potatoes in pounds I believe?)... but everyone still talks in miles, gallons, pounds... Fish-Finger-er
engine: dieselsize: about 3 foot x 4 foot and 2.5 foot high at a guess. (2.0 turbo)model: e46 320d es 150 6speed.driving: towns, and windy A's/B's, very little motorway.MPG: currently got about 49mpg since i got the car. but a fair bit of thats been towing the motorbikes + trailer, or caning the car when i first got it. i got 47.5 mpg from the 5 gallons i put in, but i spent 130 of them miles towing the motorbike and trailer. put 5 gallons in the tuesday, will update with how much i get, as i got a bit of motorway driving coming up friday saturday sunday, and dont have to tow the bikes this weekend.usually drive fairly quickly, purely cos 85% of my miles are spent going to or from work, partially because their nice twisty roads, but mainly because im running late every morning, and in a rush to get home every night. On long motorway journeys it does 45-50 mpg though. I only drive to the train station and back during the week which takes all of 5 minutes so it spends half of its life on choke.
