In that case Plymouth would probably be cool. I went there a couple of times when my brother was at uni there, and it was really nice down there. Similarly, Welsh coastal towns like Aberystwyth are pretty nice too. Brighton's not too bad, but yeah, not really one of the nicest places. Burglary rate there is nuuuuuts.

bit of a shit tip isnt it?

All i know is id love to go to a uni on the coast, i love the idea of it, but i dont wanna be bored of my tits all the time seeing as i cant ride ne more:(

any uni is gunna have a semi decent nightlife(well a decent nightlife) as its full of students, even somewhere fairly small and seemingly boring like aberystwyth has like 4000 people there, on top of the local population. obviously its not a patch on somewhere like manchester which has like 20,000 but youve got to bear in mind, just how many more campus's they have and the massive area their spread out over.

but whats your plan with going to the coast, if its just sitting on a beach all day, bare in mind theres probably only 1 in 5 days in the year wer ull chill on the beach and have nice weather to tan and look at the flange. (and a load of them is in the summer holidays when your not there)

if your kite surfing or whatever as well, and perhaps fishing, then fair enough.

ive always wanted to live on the coast and as i cant ride any more, ive been doing alot of kiting and would love to try kite surfing, so thats a factor.

not somthing im going to base my decision on though

i love the sound of newports course, but a few people have said its a hole...

I'd definatelty reccomend going to uni on the coast, theres always somthing to do even if you just go for a wander by the sea.

It also means that if theres nice sunny day in the winter/non holiday period, you can get down the beach quick without 600000 kids with spades and snotty nose ruining your experience.
