froggy
You would be so much better off with a better graphics card. An NVIDIA 8800GT would be much better for gaming, which I believe is what you want it for. You already have a Hanns.G 19" TFT monitor which I use myself and they are great. I couldn't justify spending 140 for an extra 3 inches. I could understand if it was a HD monitor but it's not.Although if it's really what you want, that is the best 22" you can for that price. strelly
Check out this deal at AriaI have the same moniter, the casing is quite cheap but it comes with samsung panel, which is off one that retials at over £1200!!Do research around this moniter if you consider it, its quite cheap and there are a few copys of it around. The quality and resolution (1920x1200) is just awsome, and i dont regret buying it! Tomm
I had been toying with the idea of buying a bigger screen for ages, but always put it off. Anyway, I got a 22" Samsung a few months back and I love it. So much more space to do stuff, it looks nice etc etc. My only regret is that I should have done it earlier. Just do it, you won't regret it.The only slight problem is for games - you have to have a really powerful graphics card to play normal games on such a big screen, It's not a massive problem for 20-22" screens, but if you go up to 24" then you're looking at probably upgrading the graphics card too. It doesn't bother me though since I don't play games on it.
Haz
I'd always try and go for Dell or Samsung, nothing can touch their quality at the moment, unless the brand uses the same screens, such as the Apple ones and a few others.Obviously, bigger monitor + smaller price = lower quality, but with a decent colour profile any monitor can be good.I'd always go for the max res for the screen size. For example a 22" tft only has a 1680*1050, so all you get is bigger icons, which imo, is an eye sore. However if you get a 24" (or some of the more expensive 23"s) you're gonna get 1900*1200. Which is a fair bit more 'space' for your 'space', if you get what I mean. And to me that is more important than the brand.

Matthew_Gibson
I'd love a huge monitor, Only thing thats stopping me is the two I have there now! and it would look ridiculous. My dad has a nice Samsung, cost him anout £500 quid, but its super fast re-fresh rate. Only 18" thoughSamsungs all the way
Tomm
I dunno, my 22" Samsung can be bought for £160 I think (maybe less now), and it's really good. Fair enough there might be some better ones out there but the quality seems more than adequate to me.
