Bigman
Right, up until now i have been editing my vids on movie maker, and it has done me well considering, but recently i have been having trouble with it and it is starting to annoy me alot. Are there any other editors that are simple to use, i know alot of people will suggest Adobe but i have heard that it can be abit difficult to use? Are there any others?ThanksAdam
1a2bcio8
I found Adobe Premiere very easy to use, certainly in terms of just making a basic video with transitions or simple effects such as b+w. You simply pick up a video, drop it onto the timeline where you can cut it up with a tool or drag and drop a transition or effect. The help part of premiere is pretty good for extending your understanding. I recommend giving it a go

that NBR dude
Ive always sworn by Adobe Premier, and had been using 6.5 for ages. Its such a nice program to use, and everything is layed out well. It may take a while to get used to, but once you get the swing of it, its really is a fantastic program to use. The possibilities are pretty much endless with it.Ive recently just changed to Sony Vegas 8.0, as Im too tight to upgrade my Premier to CS3, as I need HDi support. Its ok, but I still prefer Premier, for its easy layout and editing. Vegas is a little too complicated at first, but it does have the advantage of having XMC audio editor combined, which is nice.If you need any more help with it Adam, give me a shout over msn. Can send you some screen grabs ect, might mke it easier for you.Andy
David
Cyberlink Power Director is very easy to use. It's quite limited but all the basics are covered.
Danny Kearns
For my new video, if i ever get round to one. Im gonna' be using Sony Vegas, been messing around with it for months with old clips and stuff, It really is difficult to get a hand of. I still don't know a great deal about it. But the amount of stuff you can do on it as apposed to movie maker is un-real. Makes video editing so much more fun.
Dr. Nick Riviera
I've said it before, once more can't hurt.virtual dub!it's free and far more powerful than any of the other free ones.obviously premiere is ace, but it's a power hungry and very costly *ahem*. Captain Scarlet
Vegas is a doddle to use (I assume you just want to import all your clips, move them about a bit, add a few transitions and titles). It can be as easy as you want it to be, and then when you understand aspects of the programme such as keyframing and masking you can make videos as in depth as you like.A very flexible programme.
