J Trials 31
Could I get one of these frames and run 24" wheels if I run rear disc. I don't see any problem. Maybe a shorter fork or something?
_Owen.
The Geo would be weird. Why would you want to do this anyway? Owen
Tom_
No reason why you shouldnt, steve at heatsink did it, and ran an adaptor for a rim brake.to be honest though, I woulda said itd be more of a measure that youd take if you had the frame and bits lying around, if your buying new then Id save abit extra and get an inspired or similar with 24" specific geo. J Trials 31
I was just saying that cause the frames cheap. Just an idea I had. I looked at the geo and it seems it would be too short for me anyway. Same length almost as my mod! How much riding difference is there between a streety 26 frame and a 24? Does it ride completely different?
_Owen.
Ahh, yeahh they do seem good value from Tart. I would say just try it with 26" wheels. My mod is 1060 and my leeson (soon to arrive) is 1035, and thats a 26" one! Hehe, hopefully it will be flicky enough I cant say if a 26" streety style bike is any good at the min as i havent yet got it, but ill be sure to give you a quick review as soon as i have given it a good ride! Tom_
In my experience, (having ridden both 24" and a streety stock) they are similar, good for streety stuff, not so great for pure trials, although its deffiantly not impossible, just not as easy as on a pure TGS type frame. Would you rather have a streety stock or a 24"? I love your Czar. Was thinking of something like that too. See, where I live there basically is no natural stuff at all(in town) and in order to get to some of the places I ride it can take a while. Being on a mod also makes it hard as there is no gears. So that's why in the future, I need a streety setup.
Ross McArthur
Dont worry about getting a 24 man, just get the base and run 26 inch wheels. its a beast.there is a bit of a difference between 24 and streety 26 being that parts for building up bikes are easier to find with 26 bikes. As for the way they feel and the way the base would feel, with an alreay super low BB, with 24" wheels on it it would be rediculus!!imoThe base builds up to be a bunny hop and manualing beast whatever bar and stem you run..will depend on what you like of course and how tall you are etc.24" the bike just feels tiny going from 26, this has good points and bad points Id rather not go into. J Trials 31
Would it be easier since I ride mod, to go to the 24" or 26"? I might like the "tiny" feel of the 24". Nobody around here has a 24" that's for sure.
