Having a chilled time in Slovenia atm, is nice to relax for a bit & be a bit less hectic than we've been. Probably going for a street ride in Ljubljana tomorrow, then heading down to the Isle of Pag in Croatia for a few days tomorrow night. Sounds like there's plenty of riding, parties an pičke.

Aright lads!

Just a quickie here - currently in a little internet cafe in Povljana on the island of Pag in Croatia. :) Been here since Monday, & shooting off tomorrow to head towards buthiers. Is really nice here, perfect weather, warm sea, sweet beaches, all good!

Probably got a photo or two I'll upload at some point, but have been tanning more than anything, so not a great deal of pics to be expected. :P

Take care,

Mike.

Hey all. :)

Back in Slovenia now, at Dejan's. Stopped off last night after driving back up from Croatia. Was a solid 9 hour stint, only stopped 3 times for fuel and some soup. :(

Anyways, had an awesome time in Croatia, massive thanks to Matija for letting us stay with him in his holiday home. :)

We had a superb ride in Novalja on Friday, got some massive crowds going!

Gotta say im very jealous mike. Looks like you're having an awesome time. Some of the pics of the places you've been are a bit stunning. Think its summat to do with the minerals in glacier melt water that makes the rivers and alkes go the colour, at least thats what some canadian dude told me when i was over there.

Over 5,000 miles and 10 countries later, we are home :P . Mike wont be back just yet though because he is going to see his GF ;) . I had an awesome time and we have to do it again some time! Fair play to Mike for organising it and doing most of the driving !

Pad ripped its backing or something?

Ripped the Magura slave apart ;)

Is that a diving board at the top :|

Looks sick mike, awsome shots, hope your having fun still :P

Just to the left of where the photo was taken there was a purpose built tower for a diving championships that was held just before we arrived in Slovenia. Not sure how high it was to the top, but when Mike gets the pics up you will see. Higher than 15M for definate anyway.

Hey all. :)

Just got the effort to type here - been on such a mega low since getting back! Guessing such an incredible 5 week high kind of raises your expectations of life..

Has been a pretty crazy trip, and it's odd to be back. But god I'd do it all over again exactly the same if I could!

Since I last posted in Slovenia, we've travelled through Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and back home. We had a extremely random night in Germany after setting off from Slovenia, ending up sleeping in the car in some very strange and spooky park in Munich before being rudely awoken by some Nazi-esque park wardens shouting at us to go!

Decided to go up via the Nurbugring, and got there at about 2pm the next afternoon. After waiting untill 6pm for the BMW Drivers Experience thing to finish, we were then told that that evening single laps weren't on, and the ring was only available for a 2 hour session for 200 euros. Had I had the spare cash I would've loved to do it, but really couldn't justify it! However it was cool to go there and check it out, and decided to make up for the lake of extreme driving on the ring on the local roads round there. :wink2:

From Nurburg we set off to Buthiers, and after riding a motorway service station in the east of France for an hour, decided to just sleep outside there under some trees.

...untill 4am when it decided to piss it down. So extremely annoyed and soaked we packed up and made our way to Buthiers.

Had a great ride on Tuesday there, and were greeted at 5am the next morning with full beams, and a loud horn, by Stan, Porter & Bessel. After a good sleep we left the Buthiers campsite for one in Malsherbes for a third the price, met up with Matt Burrows and Adrian Jorden a little later, and rode all day Wednesday.

Thursday we all woke up to pissing rain, & whilst Me & Matt went for a hardcore ride during which we got soaked (with Adrian & Max filming & photographing), the other trio sodded off to Paris for a failure of a street ride & to check out the apparant failure that is the Koxx Shop. :P

After more riding, we all packed up Sunday morning & rode Paris. It rained a bit, but we still all had a good ride, & caught up with Hermance and a few others who were also there streeting it up.

Me & Max decided to end it a little early then, after a few bike failures, and headed back, but ended up catching the same ferry as everyone else anyways. :)

Got back at about 4am Monday morning (after a 3am wake up call at Kati's house ), and had a mega sleep.

A huge thanks has to go out to everyone who made the trip what it was. To Max & Kati for joining me putting up with eachother and myself, to everyone we rode with, everyone who allowed us to stay with them, and everyone who we encountered.

Got to say it was the best 5 weeks of my life so far & I can't wait to do something similar again. Cheers to everyone who's been reading, following and replying to this topic, I'm glad we've been able to share it with you all, and hopefully inspired you all to get out and explore the world a bit.

Still many more pics to sift through, so I'll probably get them uploaded here soon.

Take it easy, and don't stop enjoying yourselves.

Mike.
