Tom Taylor
Wasn't even harsh mate, was only a light grind.
Fishy
His grind doesn't look that harsh...Aren't Koxx pads known to wear down loads within the first few rides then hardly wear?
Tom Taylor
Not sure mate thats why im asking. Just a bit annoyed.
Z o o !!
Keep riding them, if they carry on wearing down at an alarming rate, Drop tarty a line or email they should sort you out.
Walleee
I'm not being dicky, but when peple say that pads wear down fast and then slow down, what do they mean?Surley if the material is the same throughout the wear rate should be the same? Fishy
It's like when the pads wear in, they don't wear down as much. Or something along those lines...
omgnoseat
Mine haven´t wore that much in 2 months on a hard grind.I think you just got bad luck and recieved a bad set of pads, think you can get new ones if you contact the place where you´ve got em. Walleee
I could understand if the pads were not lined up parallel with the rim, then as they got more worn at an angle and more of the pad was touching the rim the pressure is going to reduce as the area is larger, but it seems like this lad has set them up straight.EDIT: Definately ring tarty and see what they can do for you.. Once the grind starts to become less sharp/fresh the pads don't wear as much. Seems a lot of people attribute this to the pads instead of the grind and rim material. The Duck
Very strange... Same set of koxx pads lasted me 11 months, there was still a lot of meat left I just lost one.

Walleee
God, so all these people have bought new pads and grinded at the same time, does it not make more sense to put the pads on and try them, and then grind if it's nescessary? That's usually what I do, makes sense in my head. BUTKoxx browns normally will with stand an insane grind and still last for ages. That looks far from an insane grind to me... Must just be a dodgy set. Tim Stedman
These pads will only have worn down that fast if you have been dragging the brake, or you've been slipping the brake while you've been backhopping. There is no possible way that pads wering down can be a warranty issue! You just need to look at your bikertrial habits, and your setup and adjust it accordingly.
