Its easy to do a 32 hub onto 28 rim but stupidly gay to do it other way around. At least i found it to be.
Ollie Y
Not that simple. Its easy to do a 32 hub onto 28 rim but stupidly gay to do it other way around. At least i found it to be.Yes indeed, i tried this the other day and it did not work.If you look on a rim the holes are offset to the side the spoke should come from, so therefore if you try to lace it on to a 32 hole rim the spokes will be on the wrong side of the rim, on every other bit after missing a spoke. (if that makes sense) So if you wanted to miss spokes out you would have to do it in sets of two therefore considerably weakening specific points on the rim! Also considering the strength of the rim already is it wise to be missing spokes?CheersOllie Edited July 16, 2008 by oliyoungman14
