Andeee
Hey there ive been looking on ebay and have came across these: LINK They look very similiar to echo urbans despite the four bolt mount is forwards. For the price there going at seems a bargain im just concerned about what my bike will measure at if i bought them. I contacted fred savage and he doesnt know. Ive been on the zhi website and theres no information. Do these forks have a similar geo to urbans or not? My frame is a echo pure 06.5 with onza lite guy forks that measures at 1070 initially the bike would measure at 1075 with urbans so what about zhi forks? I basically want my wheelbase a tad longer as i am now 5ft 10. Thanks Andy Edited July 14, 2008 by Andeee

Walleee
I basically want my wheelbase a tad longer as i am now 5ft 10. Thanks AndyNSE is fred savage. What's this about wheel base, do you feel cramped on your bike? if thats the case you need to look at your bar/stem setup rather than the length of the entire bike.Making you front wheel 5mm further forward is not going to change how the bike rides apart from moves to your front wheel...... As tart said, the geo will not out of the ordinary, it will be acceptable, its the price thats exceptional. I will post the dims as soon as Yao gets back to me.Fred. I just want that tad length so that the bike will then be easier to control for backwheels and front wheel gaps.
Echo-Scott
Don't know if this will help atall but on my mates mod he had a set of zhi forks and now he's changed to a pair of echo lite's and the bike does feel a little shorter now compared to when he had the zhi's on. dave33
ok im testing some of these forks out at the moment and have been for 2 months or so, just measured my wheel base and i got 1095-1097 they are fitted to my ZHI z1 which is 1085.(measured with a tape measure and by eye so not that accurate)compared to the echos i would say that they have a lil more forward rake, i have never fitted the echos to the zhi so dont have a measure ment of the wheel base.but so far they feel good, lil bit stiffer than the echo's if any thing, they are aroud 880 grams when the steerer tube cut to the length for my frame(disc and 4 bolt mounts)hope this helps any more info needed and ll try and help you out

Thanks for your advice mate much aprecciated. Ill be on ebay now to get some. I will hopefully post a review on them. Andy
JonMack
Surely the reach is the most important part of the bike, not the WB?
Andeee
Surely the reach is the most important part of the bike, not the WB?I am basically just experimenting at the moment with geomoterys just to see whats right for me. Then decide what to do next.
