JonMack
Well it's OBM who writes most of the stuff on there
Mark W
But Jon, surely you can see that me stating that I don't like K-124 is obviously me putting down the entire trials community?

Mark W
To be honest, my post was more with an aim to stopping another person going "I WUZ GOIN 2 SAY that 2 LULZ", as is usual TF law.
yoyoyo
Ah right, i just re read my post and i thought it could have come across as me defending koxx.
cai
Looks like a sound rim, would be good for the uni riders that prefer 20" over 19"
jsy trials matt
look's like a rip off of the monty rim's. I had one they are not too strong
Walleee
look's like a rip off of the monty rim's. I had one they are not too strongThe front monty rim? the holes are differant in it, the rear monty one has rounded squares similar to the koxx one above, but it's 19"
AdamR28
look's like a rip off of the monty rim's.Which ones? The rim pictured in the this thread is absolutely nothing like any of Monty's trials rims (well, obviously its round, fits a tyre, can put spokes in it, etc...)...Edit: In fact I'll get a pic
The Duck
look's like a rip off of the monty rim's. I had one they are not too strongYou win todays prize for most crap stated in a single post.Edit: To elaborate, your thinking was - It looks like a monty rim > therefore it will perform like a monty rim > mine was weak > therefore it will be weak.Thats rather silly is it not? Mark W
Best part is that in spite of all those cut-outs, it's still only *factual inaccuracy*, one of the most proven, trusted rims ever made. I love how they said they drilled the holes in the rim "removing weight without sacrificing strength". W. T. F.EDIT: Speaking of "WTF", WTF is going on with the furthest out rim wall by the cut-outs in that pic, Ad?
JonMack
That's what I thought, weird chain drilling type effect?
aener
Valve hole on the seam?Bit dodgey in't it?
AdamR28
WTF is going on with the furthest out rim wall by the cut-outs in that pic, Ad?Just a rough surface, what you get when you stamp holes in metal.Valve hole on the seam?Bit dodgey in't it?Nope, why would it be?
aener
Just thought they didn't put anything on there due to strength issues...Oh well Shows how much I know
Mark W
Truth. I didn't get why Fly didn't do their rim(s) like that either.
Tom_
Just a rough surface, what you get when you stamp holes in metal.Nope, why would it be?I was always under the impression you wernt spozed to drill holes in the seam becuase of possibility of splitting or whatever. I thought that was why the valve hole was normally drilled oposite the seam and then the seam left undrilled.Obv. the valve hole is alot smaller than a hole in a drilled rim, but how come more companies arnt drilling the valve hole on the seam?
Mark W
Constructed of 6061 aluminum, the Resurrection rims feature 16mm x 16mm square holes throughout the rim to maximize weight savings without sacrificing strength. Each double-walled rim weighs just 460 grams (16.2 oz.) The Resurrection rims are built for street, park and dirt, available in 36h and a variety of colors, including black, white and chrome. My mistake, they *factual inaccuracy* Odyssey 7ka rims (Which are 7075, not 6061...).I was always under the impression you wernt spozed to drill holes in the seam becuase of possibility of splitting or whatever. I thought that was why the valve hole was normally drilled oposite the seam and then the seam left undrilled.Obv. the valve hole is alot smaller than a hole in a drilled rim, but how come more companies arnt drilling the valve hole on the seam? The valve hole being smaller is the reason you can do it. Most companies probably don't 'cos I'd guess it'd be a bit more hassle to do, maybe? Either way, quite a few people have done it on here in the past, and it's really not a problem. The valve hole is only taking a little bit of material out away from the real 'join' on the rim, so it should be alright...
JonMack
Depends if it's pinned and welded too, surely if it is, it's no problem?Mark, what's the construction like of the Odyssey?
Mark W
I can't really be bothered getting the X-sections, but way better than the catalogue rim Koxx drilled the f**k out of here EDIT:
