Balthazor
Hi guys, just wondering if Halo combat wheels, with DMR Moto Digger tyres would be ok for trials.Reason i ask is because im trying to build up a trials bike, and i already have these wheels on my Kona.So if there ok then atleast i dont need to buy new wheels They have Halo Combat hubs on them too. El Cristoff
They're ok but really heavy. They're designed to be used for dirt, but meh. And moto diggers will be fine, but i've heard they pinch alot on the rear
Alex@Flawless Bikes
NO!
Andrex
I wouldn't really recommend using it for the rear wheel, apart from being heavy a mate of mine split it. The tire is ok if you like fixing pinches though
MadManMike
Don't use Moto Diggers or Halo combats for trials.I use them on my street / DJ bike and it's fine, but my mate does trialsy stuff on his Moto Digger and gets so many punctures! The sidewalls fold easily and it pinches all the time.Depends on how much pressure you run of course, mine a rock solid and are fine but he weighs 3 stone more than me and has less pressure. DANNI BOI
These wheels are very heavy to be used for trials ..erm just a thought maybe try drilling them to get them abit lighter?but the tyres are nice and light.dan
austen
The tires are sh*t, the wheels are sh*t. I had 2 sets of these on my dmr and split both pairs and the tires might aswell be madee of paper IMO.
kona1991
yeh i'd say the wheels are probably not the right sort for trials at all. If it was for dirt, then good combo, but their way to heavy for trials...gd luck
