mad max
I have been riding my new build for about four months now and i am struggling with the new setup.( but still loving it) When i am on the bike i feel as though i am too far forward and struggle getting my ares over the back wheel, it feels like i can't stretch far enough back, but i just thought it was me getting used to a new bike. This weekend when i was out i tilted my bars back a little which has helped a lot. Do you think my stem is too long?. I have a Adamant A1(short) with a Echo hifi stem (130mmx15). I am 5ft 8 Advice would be great. Thanks.
Luke Rainbird
Sounds like the stem could be (at least part of) the problem, and even if it's not it's cheap and easy to change that Assuming you're on the lower BB (newer version) A1, try and stick on something in the region of 110 x 10 or so, it should feel a fair bit better from the off (maybe a spacer or two to keep it at a decent height) Before you buy/borrow a new stem though, it may be worth rotating your bars back a touch. Should give a slightly 'streetier' feel, and aid manual/bunnyhop style moves too

PaRtZ
If possible, don't forget to try adding headset spacers underneath your current stem too. Might feel a bit better
