Not finished, built on a few parts from my stock. Will be equipped with some Trialtech parts soon and a Louise/Deng brake.

Rides brilliantly, so flicky and responsive. I still think mods suck but this is the best one I've tried so far. Feels a bit like a stock :)

Inur's actually got it just about right. Despite what some may think, the 05 CNC'd rims didn't go with the 2004 frames. If you look at some of the release pictures of the 2004 model, it came with the original old school standard silver Echo rims.

Also, Zoo! stems were a 2005 thing too.

If those cranks were silver and the stem had an older logo, everything would be perfect :). But geometrically and component-wise, it's keeping to the 2004

Damn damn, you make me want a mod again! :(

I'm feeling a 2008 Python full bike off the shelf when I go see my grandmother.

Not for sale guys :P

Sponge is correct, it'd need some silver cranks, a slightly different stem and bars + a front Louise brake. The Race Line yellow maggies were a CLS thing, not the original Deng release.

This might be attended to in the future, I have no intention to sell this bike because it's got a huge sentimental meaning to me. So if in the future i come across some old parts, they will be added to the bike. But for now I'm enjoying riding a mod I actually like :)

Cheers!

My old lovely lady! :o

Glad it's gone to a good home.

Inur, you are officially this slippery tree serpent's Fifth owner. This old girl does get around a lot doesn't she?

:) enjoy it

My old lovely lady too!!

Haha, Can't believe this beast is still doing the rounds, I asked Adam from TartyBikes AGES ago whether he thought the condition of the frame would stand up to much and he said it might be worth buying as a cheap way of testing the Python for lenght but 'I'd give it maybe 2 months max before that'll go!' ...I ended up getting it anyway and riding it fine for a good 6 months before being pestered to sell it to Sponge (which I didn't really want to do because I thought it was raped enough, lol)

Looks like it's still getting some love though, nice to see it about rather than banged up in my shed (Y)

Edit: Here are the pics from when I had it built up if anyones intrested :)

Olly.

Lol, I thought it might have been yours. I remember your bike very well!

Pretty sure I wanted to buy that frame before or after you got it.

The condition of the frame is fantastic, threads are perfect, head tube is still very tight and there are only a few small dents on the downtube. The left chainstay is a bit battered though. Considering how long Rowan's Pure held up, this frame has got a good 5 years of life ahead of it :P

Bars are 221Ti Montys, extended to 740mm.

Yea man, The condition of all the threads always were fine, except some problem with the bashplate ones that Sponge had a problem with, the frame's way more dented up than any frame I've owned mine are always really mint hense my evaluation of 'raped' ;) The left chainstay was not me by the way, I sidehop to the right, but damn someone doesn't :-

Glad your liking the frame and finally have your hands on it (Y)
