i have spoken about the "1 cog" cassette body (which will be used on the mod cassette hub) to be used on a wider shell'd pro2 trials for LITERAL singlespeed use.

therefore there will be a mock soon, BUT not before the ratchet 20" cass hub. was at hope last wednesday and things are coming together.

should be there tomorrow or thursday at some point therefore will have more news and updates.

Awesome news.

I'd say don't make one with built in snail cams, because people have their own already, just make it exactly the same as the Pro 2 but with 116 spacing, will be a huge seller I can assure you.

I agree :) I'm very excited and I don't even ride mod.

EDIT:  I have a 'ModStock' though... Still doesn't mean i'm not changing from my BMX King :P

Hero.

I'd be all over that like Fat Pants on a dead chick, especially if it was non-disc

(would 'non-living' be more politically correct?)

all they would have done is used the "normal" ProII and used the resize button on the miller!!!!

It is impressive though! are they fully working? IE bearings in etc etc?

Early days yet but when they going into full production? If ever?

COuld they do a make to order? as there are a lot of veriations possible!

That mini Pro2 is sick. Exactly want I wanted when I had a mod. If hope mass produce them, and make one with a 14mm axel and no disk mounts for the BMX market - they'll be laughing.

I would only buy a non disc version.. (N)

Still very impressed with this though, But disc mounts a nono for me.

Whyyy? They don't make a non-disk hub for stocks? And even less people run disks on stocks than on mods... Doesn't get in the way, yes, you might land on it but so what?

I love how hope are so small large they can do this sort of thing in a week but so big they can knock it out in a day.

nice work - pretty sure most riders would prefer normal 8mm allen key bolts to spanner jobs ...

Its a little amusing that hope took like a couple of days to bang out a prototype when people have been asking for years.

thats so nice, whats the wieght ? wil there be a non disc version ? :D looks soo soo pimp

weight is less than most similar hubs on the market, although the general rule we came up with yesterday was that weight would not be compromised for strength.

At this point people seem to be asking for disc/ non-disc, through axle, bolts, snails, no snails, however the market of trials components in which hope manufacture is very small, predominantly they manufacture mountain bike components for cross country, freeride and downhill, where there is more demand and need, they are even swaying more into the road market, with literally hundreds of hub/colour/ spoke drilling/ mounting combinations available mean that they dont really want to be doing trials in disc/ non disc options, as somebody pointed out in an earlier post for the screw on hub alone there would be over 40 combinations to manufacture, this is a lot of work for hope especially with plans for a screw on and ratchet version in 110mm

basically at this point in time, hope would manufacture the screw on mod hub with a disc mount, in 32 and 36 hole, in the 6 colour options

and a pro2 mod hub with a disc mount, in 32 and 36 hole, in the 6 colour options,

otherwise there would literally be hundreds of options............ a disc mount on the hub literally adds grams.......... not worth bothering about removing in all honesty

I love how hope are so small they can do this sort of thing in a week but so big they can knock it out in a day.

hope seem to be expanding quite rapidly now, they are well established in the US now and have a broad customer base, lots of exciting new products being thought up, manufacturing products such as hubs, discs, lights, headsets, bottom brackets and full wheel sets as well as all the 'trick bits'.

it is good design and manufacture at hope, run by engineers, one thing hope are good at is the development work and speed at which they operate without flaws.

wish it was so easy as to hit a resize button lol, far from that, back to the drawing board

yes fully working prototype,

unsure yet, no set dates, i will keep you posted on progress.

no, that option would simply cost too much and is not feasible.

I've been reading in on this thread a couple of times, and I thought the mod proII idea was great!

But that was yesterday! And there's already a proto! hahaha, legend!

:D

Wow!

Like said loads of times, i hope (no pun intended) they sell these!

I will 100% buy one!

Well done to Hope, i believe they could make a fair it off selling these hubs!

I surpose it wouldnt be too much work either, thats if theyre the same (internally) as a normal pro2 trials.
