Jason222
You could get: Lighter cranks Cut a wall out of your front and rear rims, making them both single walled, As well as using packing tape instead of anything else Mag pedals foam grips What tires are you running? Should be able to save a lot of weight with those. And tubes too if you're using oversized ones.
spartan
Take a bearing outta your headset and put in oil instead of grease. Take the half the pins out your pedals run a smaller rotor ride without a bashring gripless cut your bars like all the way file down the material in your pads to almost nothing take half the spokes outta our rim and lace them radial grind your rims until the sidewall is super thin cut half the threads off of your nipples no rim tape cut down the shrader or presta valve remove all stem spacers and place the the star nut at the very top of the steer tube cut the threads on all bolts down to halfway grind tread off all tires until bald shorten break levers to stubs run as much separated cables as possible to reduce housing weight run breakless ride naked take a crap before every ride Dude common like what u want different components or what how can you reduce weight with all that echo stuff man. We need a little more info homes!!
Skoze
Deng stuff is notoriously heavy, just change it to monty/try-all/generally lighter components

Bigman
Some possibilities: gu le 08 frame Not much you can do with the frame, maybe stop running the bash plate and run a bash on the cranks instead. echo disk forks echo hedset These are fairly heavy, replace it with maybe a Meta or Tensile both of those are fairly light. echo tough bars echo external bb Quite heavy i think, best bet going for an echo internal or trialtech M15 gu cnc'd cranks Again quite heavy, could replace with Trialtech cranks if on a budget or Try-all, run an screw on cog and something like a trialtech bash. rear wheel: tryall rim..king hub Get rid of whatever rim tape you are running and get some wide clear packing tape, much lighter. front wheel: tryall rim.. echo hub rear brake magura front brake bb7 BB7's are fairly heavy, Hope mono trials are lighter. dmr v8 pedels replace with Welgo Mg1's grips- token lock ons Get rid of lockons, get some trialtech foams they rule! What tyres do you run? maybe cut off every other knobble around the sides, makes them lighter but also more grippy Thats about all i can think of at the moment, i am not sure how much you would actualy save but it would be abit. PaRtZ
You can also probably get away with taking 2 teeth of your freewheels or cogs Im running -1 at the mo, that must have saved...oooo....3g
eskimo
That seems a light enough setup to me. I'd probably only bother with changing the front tyre to a Tryall, BB7 to Hope and pedals to a mag version.
Greetings
MG1 pedals, front magura + non disc hub, foam grips, 221ti cranks if you don't mind 158mm and you're not a basher. You'll loose quite a lot of weight on that, none of these parts are super expensive either. Edited July 6, 2008 by Inur
