Balthazor
Hi guys I'm wanting to get back into trials, my end goal is to build another Pashley 26 mgz Tv series, but as im cash strapped ive not got that project started yet. So i have this idea that maybe i can whack some rigids on my Kona Blast, its already trials spec just has Rockshox Dart 2s 100 mil travel forks, but im not sure how badly that would affect the BB clearence, anyone have any ideas ?? onzatrip
Yeah putting rigids on it would help but i would also get a new frame etc becuase its ok to get the basics back but that is it. thanks tris
jandamna
Yeah putting rigids on it would help but i would also get a new frame etc becuase its ok to get the basics back but that is it. thanks tris You just didnt read what he said AT ALL but, back to the question: The chances are, you will completly mess up the geo of it if you put rigids on it unless you get rigids with the same clearance of suspension forks. Just look around shops like CRC and wiggle. (crc - www.chainreactioncycles.co.uk) (wiggle - www.wiggle.co.uk)
Balthazor
Yeah i thought as much, but rigids equal to 100 mil travel you can get, but i like a low front end for trials so it would feel wierd hehe, maybe i just keep looking for that Pashley frame see what i can dig up, anyway thanks for the replys guys ..... Lawnmowerman
Have a look for a set of dmr sidekick forks, they're suspension length so won't mess up the geo of your frame. I used to run them on my azonic ds1 back in the day and they did me well.
sstein
tried something similar when I started, was useable but the pedal would hit the floor if I went down a high curb with the crank down and manuals were near impossible but it gave me a start.
