txt2007
bash rings are lighter but bash plates are more usefull at protecting your frame and when you go to bash with a bash ring because it's on the right side your not level but with a plate your balanced, if your not a weight freak go for bash plate
Captain Scarlet
What kind of Onza are you looking at? All the 20inch wheel Onza's come with a bashplate (and therefore mounts) as standard.

txt2007
he bought it second hand so the previous owner must have took it off, my t-pro came with both on it plate and ring one to protect the frame one for the free wheel i suppose. does your t-pro still have the mounts on it or has the previous owner cut it off? if it still has the mounts i'd decide wether you want plate or ring then remove or keep the plate mounts accordingly
squeaky
I have got a 06 t-pro and I run a bash plate and a bash ring does the job for me even if it does add a bit of weigh, but i don't care.
