Virus :(

I'm sure this is a virus or some form of malware and i cannot get rid of it :(

Even if i click no to download the antispyware [which i'm positive will be a proper virus], it opens Firefox and links me to it.

This pop-up comes everytime I go into a new folder in explorer.

I've scanned using McAfee & NoLop & Nod32.

Can't get rid of it.

Please help me, Adam.

Try adaware and spybot search and destroy. I'd say it looks more like malware than a virus. If it was a virus you'd have a message from your virus scanner, not a windows message. And a windows message certainly wouldn't link you to a "spyware remover".

Start-->run-->type 'msconfig'-->disable all non-microsoft startup services and all other startup programs in the various tabs. Not only will your computer be lightning fast, but you'll be cured of the malware, and none of your kids will come out ginger.

chances are, if its a swift piece of data, itll remain hidden on that list.

you could also try ctrl alt del, and on process tab put all the exe files your unsure of into google and youll get a list of what they are. - may also be hidden on there too

I would recommend Kaspersky Anti Virus/Internet Security; its about £25-30 on Amazon; 3 licence and a year subscription to database updates.

I use it on a huge scale at work, loads of configuation settings (more than enough for a home user) - but yea, a very well made program.

Right, I've just used Hijack this, Is there anyway I can upload the notepad file for one of you whizzes to look at? The uploader wont let me :(

Copy & Paste it into there.

It will tell you what to delete & what not to delete :)
