TrialsGilly
Hi, basically I want to know what improves from having higher or lower rise stems, and diffrent lengths. Currentley I have two stems, Atomz Oversized : 170mm length with a 35° rise. and Echo Team : 160mm reach with a 25° rise. Just looking to know the benfits of both and the main diffrences. Chears Tom Sorry wrong board!!! Can someone move this to trials chat for me.... Edited July 1, 2008 by TrialsGilly

Guest
i dont think it makes too much difference to be honest. just means your bike will feel longer and lower or higher and shorter, or higher and longer or lower and shorter etc etc. so many different ways (alot depending on bars) basically just try out different combos until you get something that suits how tall you are, how long your arms are etc ect
AdamR28
Which bars do you have, and which frame? Any headset spacers? Personally, I would go with the higher one EVERY time, but then I am weird
basher
As far as i understand it, tgs riders usually favour a low set up with flatish bars like zoos and low stem as it makes them feel like craig lee scott. Natty riders and riders more inclined to do bunnyhops favour a high set up with a nice pair of bars like montys and a higher stem as they have good taste.
