Muel
Yeh well, Glen fails in general so I can never tell if he's joking, because he's rarely funny. Although, "I'll file it down with my file, which has all the abrasive power of a sheet of piss." Classic.

basher
If you weld it up and not heatreat it , it will crack within days or weeks depending on how you ride. You need to have it heatreated after welding then it should last aslong as it did before cracking and may last longer as there is a weld there now where they are prone to cracking. Dont think ive heard of a xtp cracking anywhere else so may be have a gusset welded on then the frame may last a fair while even year or 2. Okeey, well I´m going to leave it with a welder who have welded frames before... I think the best would be to put two plates on both sides of the frame and weld it there two? It´s unbelievable how it can be that soft!!! Cheers!

pogonation
Is that not covered on warranty. I work at a specialized shop and any problems with a specialized bike is an instant brand new frame on warranty! Even if its not covered on warranty then you should still be able to get a new frame as it seems as though it has happened with quite a lot of XTP's. Infact the fact that it has happened to so many shows a clear design fault and if the koxx didnt refund you, you could probably take them to the small claims court.
