Redneck
my 4x4 is also my daily driver. its a 1986.5 Nissan SE V-6. it has a total of 90,000 miles on it. its got the off road package too, no need for a clutch to start it, just hit the button on the dash then fire it up! its a great little off-roader too, went up and over everything i have pointed it at! the locker in the rear diff works so well i have gotten it to lock up just by punching it in second gear on the street in town. thats one awesome truck there Skoze. Nice....I don't get the "no need for a clutch to start it" bit though, don't you just bang it in park with a foot on the brake if its an auto or put it in neutral if it's a manual ? I might go to a trial this weekend, theres one on Saturday night at Slab apparently so it might be worth a trip in the monster if Nige' is going. It's got a set of green Mach's on it now
Redneck
the no need for a clutch thing means that i can leave it in gear ( its a stick, i refuse to drive automatics. probably one of the few teens in my town that will not drive an auto) and it will start with out putting in the clutch. you can use the starter to roll out of things. in stead of feathering the clutch to start moving you can just start the movement with the starter and finish it with the motor after it fires up. its just one of those things that comes with the off-road package that ill probably never need but if i do ill be glad i have it. im soo jelous, i want to do truck trials but i dont think they have those in the states. its even hard to find moto trials events here. I think i get what you mean. It's like on the 24v 101FC/ Lightweights, you can get 'em up to 20mph on the starter motor

Pashley26
Isn't she lovely.....This is Jims, we were out trying to get it to run yesterday morning.....No luck...It's a V8 ex RAF 110, it's got a spark out of the bores, it's got fuel and the timing is SPOT ON. But it won't fire. (might be mine if it doesn't go soon....)

Pashley26
Meh' Its having a 200TDI in it now, or I can buy it off him for £6/700ish and then put a 200TDI in it myself. Already got the "donor" discovery with a good manual 200tdi in it up the yard, just need to work out how much I can spend on him, I would like to buy the 110 then move it to up the yard. Then once he's all bought and paid for I want to think about sticking the engine in it, then getting it on the road. Problem for me is keeping it somewhere, Kim's (Jims missus', the mother of my best friend and my teacher at school) dad has a farm in Romsey where I can keep a few bits, but it'll mean driving all the way to Romsey to swap cars about and I won't be able to keep an eye on them or just pop over in the evening to give them a clean. However, they will be dry stored and under a cover behind a locked barn door....Decisions, decisions, decisions indeed ! I wouldn't be able to go over and clean the Saab/Magnette/whatever I have then whilst they are there. f**king hell Matt, you remember the state I used to get my Disco in ? She did look good clean though :$ I've got such a massive hankering for another BIG 4x4 now, wouldn't mind a well prepped Disco again... Skoze
Got a full canvas tilt in the back (hardtops are GAY) Get one then dude!!!In related news; i'm sooo putting seatbelts in whatever i end up with next... This happened to my mate's 2a on saturday;Got hit by a Puma on the rear cross passenger side, spun it 90*, rolled it, luckily him and his missus only went away with a few big bruises - dread to think what'd happened if it'd had a canvas tilt on, or no seatbelts. She was outside the truck still belted up when it landed and he was sat in the passenger seat

Don't be a pussy, Jardo Meh', it's not down to me he called it off I'm so desperado for a landy right now, when it started bucketing down earlier I was desperate to get out in the woods and have a play. And I want to get one by the end of the week because I'm cutting trees down on Sunday and I want to use it to pull em straight before I cut em'.
