markrat
Thinking of buying a frame of fleabay to replace my ancient heavytools trials. Just wondering what sort of hubs i could use in the rear due to the frame. Anyone had much experience with the frame, how does it ride. Also what sort of gearing are people running. Ollie Y
Is that the frame with the 116mm hub spacing? If it is i don't run that particular frame but i do run an echo control mod-stock, i just run a fixed hub on the rear (a zoo mod hub) with a 15 tooth cog, and then i run an 18 tooth front freewheel (tensile) and this has been good for me. Although if i could have gone for anything a Chris King bmx hub, it is awesome. My mate runs one and engagement wise i have not felt anything better! So if you are on a budget, front freewheel or if money is no object a Chris King bmx hub! Cheers Ollie
BenLeacock™
My mates just got one (dan addison) ill get him to write a full review, but tell you something, if i didnt have a expensive rear hub, that was 135 spacing, I think i'd be tempted to get one. They are just the right lengh, perfect weight and ride REALLY nice IMO. For the money i'd highly recommend it !
dan_addison
Yeah ive just bought one, and i can honestly say im absolutly extatic with it. It feels really nice when your on the back wheel and handles great. There a modstock so any mod or bmx hub would fit. As for gearing im not sure what mines got as ive just bought it and havent really had chance to fiddle around with it
markrat
Cheers for the quick response. Just had a look at hubs but all the ones i can afford seem to be 32h and i was hoping to use my megamo rear rim. I`d kinda like to keep a rear freewheel. markrat
Thats good then because i like spinning. Still hunting for a fixed rear hub with 36h rather than 32 that aint silly money. Anyone reckon this frame will help my riding after coming from the heavy tools?
