Daniel C
i was just wondering does anybody know the restriction code for a nokia 6300? and what else do you have to do after that to unlock it?
Dr. Nick Riviera
google is your friend for this stuff, if not, your local market's dodgy phone guy will be able to sort it out. after it's unlocked you do nothing.

Your sim is barred id say, Phone your provider. As for other dude, I got one unlocked for a £10 and it was perfect from there on in
froggy
I heard if you type the wrong unlocking code on Samsung, Ericsson and Nokia phones, the handset will melt in your hand.

Krisboats
my sim works in my mums lg shine! so my phone muct be locked, do they ask where you got your phone from or anythink as i found mine? cheers woody Well if you found it the person who lost it will have most likely reported it as lost and got the IMEI number locked. This isn't unlock'able, as basically any time a phone tries to get a signal it transmits the IMEI number to the satellite or mast its trying to reach. When they block the IMEI number the phone unit won't work in the uk at all. Most providers use the same list of accepted IMEI numbers too so changing the sim for a different one (o2, vodafone etc) might work, but more than likely won't. Joe_Elding
I think you can get the IMEI changed though, go down your local market and ask around. I know they do it at wembley market but thats probably miles from you. Also if your caught with aphone you found its ''theft by finding''
