Big Gigs

Yo, I'm going to see Radiohead at Old Trafford on Sunday but I've got to be somewhere else earlier in the day. It says the doors open at 4:00pm but I'm guessing the music won't start until much later? I've never been to a gig this big before and I was just wondering what time they're likely to start? Also Bat for Lashes are supporting and I quite wanna see them too.

maybe an hour after. The support comes first, then you have to wait for the main gig to start.

Doors - 4pm

Support - 5pm

Main Band 6.45pm

Thinking about the timing of it, most gigs doors don't open til 7.

If it's just them being overzelious to get people into the venue, then the support may well not be on til 6/7pm

Depending on the venue, if you want a good place to stand you need to be there by 2 (if doors open at 4).

I am aware of how rock and roll concerts work, I was just wondering if the timing it going to be different as it's a big (outside) venue - Manchester Cricket Ground (Old Trafford). I'm with Hendrix, I suspect that the musak won't start until 6-7 or whatever. But I'd quite like to hear from someone that might actually know...

Email the event organisers, or, The Old Trafford booking office. They'll have a scheduele of how the night will be run.

I waited 7 hours for Oasis to come on at the City of Manchester stadium and probably about 5 hours for Chili Peppers. Radiohead seem like a caring band though so maybe i'd guess they'd come on around 7pm gives them a good 3-4 hours to mess around.
