Alex.loves.boys
looks pretty shit to be honest, trailer gave no story line and just showed random people killing each other? why dont you just watch the news at home instead of wasting 7quid in a cinema? youll get too see almost the same thing. that brings me onto another thing, the prices cinemas charge is ludicrous (wish i could spell that) if your 15 your an adult aparantly, 15 year olds cant buy alcohol, cant get into clubs. so why are 15 year olds classed adults to watch movies? the government needs to step in and tell the cinemas the f**k off or change thier age limits! duno what trailer you watched but from the trailer i can tell that same gets out of prision and there going to get there own back on him im going to whatch it later on tonight cant wait. and for u stuck up twats up there moaning about english just shut up. "Teeth" is about vagina dentata, where a girl has a vagina with teeth! haha And Kildulthood is an exaggeration of life in them areas, if it wasn't exaggerated the film would be boring. I was just about to say something alone those lines!
Rich J
Can see this film getting crap from the media from endorsing gang culture for sure. Some writer somewhere is going to comment on how a 15 year old seeing a guy getting shot on the big screen in a cool way will lead to him doing the same. Hate to say it but way stuffs been recently wouldnt be inclined to disagree.. Saw kidulthood for the first time on bbc3 other day wouldnt say it was anything special. Doubt ill be seeing it, just don't go to the cinema that often. O and 15 in the cinema makes you an adult because of the age ratings. A cinema will charge you more to go watch a 15 because they can. It may be wrong but people seem to pay so they do it.

I mena its unthinkable to atleast be fluent in your native tongue. Shit me man. I hope that post was purely for irony Anyway as for us people who you say base 'our entire film choice' from local big chain cinemas, we probably dont, its just the fact that i wanted to go out and see a film, plus the fact its not exactly very far away and something to do of an evening if your stuck for ideas and want to do something. I think the fact that this film causes so much contempt in some of you to just beat it down and it causes controversy and annoyance which will give it the public attention it wants anyway, although to be honest, its probably not bad a film compared to most of the big budget pieces of shit we get now anyway Edited June 20, 2008 by Bondy

Skoze
Will be watching it later on in the week, was gonna go today but it'd probably be filled with loads of chavs, and i reckon there would be amass rioting if we were in there As for the 'no storyline' etc... A quick run down. Firstly, go watch kidulthood, or you may be wee bit confuzzled. Beat her Shanice!! In kidulthood, theres three main characters, some kid called trevor, and a couple of others. They're a bit g, but seem qute nice compared to thers. They cross paths with some other people someone called sam being the main badaman etc etc. a few lol moments. In the end,(dont read this bit if you don't wanna know foo') 'trife' as he's known by some gets his bird pregnant, they choose to keep it, he gets twatted by sam with a baseball bat, subsequently dies, film ends. In Adulthood, as far as i can pick up for t'internet, sam gets outta jail 6 years later, goes to try and get back to life as an adult, and he tries to sort things out with trevor's mates who just want to kill him, everyone seems to be killing eachother, he's trying to change, be a better person and stop people screwing up their lives, but everyone hates him, he's constantly dodging bullets. Also shows that there's lots of other dodgy people you meet as you go through life. Moral of the story is, people can change. 'Tis all pretty exagerrated, but i enjoyed kidulthood, will be good to see adulthood in cinemas, 'specially with uber loud music (they seem to get some beastly grimey stuff in there, not everyones cuppa tea, but bassy stuff is awesome.) As you can see, i don't have much to do tonight Edited June 20, 2008 by Skoze
Simon
Sound's like i'm going to be hating this film tonight, just sounds like a chav-fest.

Guest
think ill just keep my cash and wait until that film with will smith comes out 'hancock' i think it is. that looks pretty good. although why are adverts so shit these days. like on the 'hancock' one i saw about 3 different trailers before i actually managed to find out that he was an alcoholic superhero, and thats why the public dont like him, but then he gets a tight suit and starts being a cool superhero...from what i can work out

PaRtZ
There is no need what so ever for big technical words like which you have just used. don't know why, made me a lot I don't like this, looks like a bunch of chavs wanted to be on moovees innit. They even acting or just being "normal"?
Si-man
Never been London, heard stories from Jay though, pretty much like that in Hackney lol. I like how people won't see a film because it has chavs in it. Trife off Kidulthood went into The Bill Tony off Skins was in Kidulthood aswell Looks a good film, obviously if you hate violence and death its not going to be your cup of tea. Krisboats
Seen kidulthood a little while back... nothing special. I've watched several trailers for this one... if anything i think it looks worse. I'm not going to pay to see some annoying chavy kids play gangs with each other using acting so poor its only bested by low budget japanese martial arts films and american softcore porn. The incredible hulk on the other hand I'll be going to see that for sure.
Fixed Pantsâ„¢
using acting so poor its only bested by low budget japanese martial arts films and american softcore porn. What are you talking about? Their acting was spot on, pretty much exactly how it was a few years ago. Lingo has changed obviously, but still, it was really good. You obviously haven't seen any of this first hand.
1a2bcio8
I would suggest that there's a bit of culturalism going on here whereby people are judging the merits of a film a priori (look it up) based on the people it's supposed to represent. Of course, you're entitled to do that and I shall not judge you - only analyze - but you might want to consider the type of 'ism you're engaged in and try to imagine if it's much different from such things as racism, sexism or homosexualism (I made that last one up but you get the point). Just on the off chance you're interested in trying to gain some consistency and sense with your perceptions and ideas. It seemed like every other clip was one of that black guy squinting. Very wooden if he's only got one acting face. Hence poor acting. Learn what decent acting is before you say its spot on. Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Kris, it represents what it's like, fully. Seriously, the acting is exactly how it is in real life. That's good acting i'm sure.

There is no good acting within itself, only what we each individually find convincing. That's all that happens - no recognition of some inherent truth in what you see. Krisboats
Kris, it represents what it's like, fully. Seriously, the acting is exactly how it is in real life. That's good acting i'm sure. His acting in doctor who was good, on more than one occasion he was showing different and opposing emotions quite successfully. But in this it looks stale like he has a dildo up his arse in every clip so he keeps wincing in pain every time he moves. From what i can see the supporting characters are even worse with clichéd lines and poor dialogue, it looks like clarke has given himself the limelight through his over-involvement within the film, writing the screenplay, acting it and directing the movie too. It might get across exactly how he wants it but i imagine it leaves it open to a lot of bias when it comes to performances in the movie. The storyline looks as though it will just become a barrage of threats and attacks that ultimately serve to desensitise themselves leading to a meaningless and repetitive series of events that leave you bored and wanting more. You chaps might want to avoid a fairly pointless activity here. There is no good acting within itself, only what we each individually find convincing. That's all that happens - no recognition of some inherent truth in what you see. There is a clear difference between good and bad acting. It might get hazey around the middle but its undeniable that some people are terrific actors and some people can't act to save their lives.
