onzatrip
Hi im buying some parts and the backwheel has got dents and a tooth has broken of the sproket. Can i pull the dents out of the rim? Is the sprocket still ok to ride on? Help will be appreciated. Thanks Tris
craigjames
You're thinking of buying a wheel in that condition? Yes you can pull the dents out of it, but if its got dents in it already it sounds like its had a hard life; how much longer do you think it will last? The sprocket is no good. I wouldn't even bother with it. Were these bits for your trials bike? What exactly were they? rim, hub etc.
Skoze
how much does the person want for it, what's the wheel made up of (hub, rim etc..)?
!Harris!
I would advise buy a new rim and sprocket if you hit that dent to many times.... may collapse Nathan
Chris Woodhouse
Has the rim ever been ground? If so it may have dents in due to the sidewalls being weak because they are thinner than new, also what rim is it? I know someone who a had a rim about 2 rides and one of the dents at the rim join has already snapped off that rim was a dx32 I believe with one weak grind and he's no basher. Ryan-Trials
To get dents out a rim first get yourself an adjustable spanner then get the adjustable to grip the dented side and the just bend the rim out and for the sprocket you'd be better off getting a new 1 hope i've helped
squeaky
if i was you i would just save your money and get a wheel that is in better condition or wait until you have enough money to get yourself a new rim.
