bikeperson45
Personnal prefrance. But I find it useful to still be able to use the opposite foot just incase I gat in one of those awkward situations

Bearded Midget
im right, quite often try left in static positions on awkward rocks though, could come handy in a comp one day.
spode@thinkbikes
I've never seen a link between left/right handed and feet position. Unlike left/right handed, were supposedly your brain is wired differently, which foot you have forward really comes down to which way feels more comfortable - almost by chance, and you just happen to learn that way. We are creatures of habit, and we repeat actions. Like try folding your arms the opposite way - feels weird, right I predict a pretty close 50/50 split on this poll. But certainly one worth having. BIG Drew
Right handed and footed Left foot forward though Same here. You say there are alot of good riders who ride left foot forward.. there are also alot of good riders who ride right foot forward. Really makes no difference, just preference. Greetings
In the 90's it was "advised" to ride left foot forward if you rode a stock bike. The bashrings were so big that it was difficult to balance on them. Riding left foot forward made that a little easier and that was important especially with the popularity of BIU. This might explain why so many pros are left footed.
