Bionic_Boy
Hi i just spent the best part of £350 on my bike and today was the first ride with all my new parts and i noticed that the bb was unskrewing its self so i went home to tighten it back up and the thread is stripped. Just wounderd if you can go places that re cut the thread as it would be a cheaper option thean buying a new frame. Thanks .James Edited June 14, 2008 by i ride a t pro

Luke Rainbird
It is possible to have a sleeve fitted if it's beyond retapping, with the threads made from the new insert. Somewhere in the region of £50 from Argos if I remember correctly Alternatively, you can buy bottom brackets which thread into themselves, so don't need frame threads. Could be an option
