How the hell do you guys avoid getting frustrated.

Im always fixing my bike cuz it breaks all the time for some reason, or recovering from an injury or waiting on parts or riding worse then i should and i just get do damn frustrated. Sometimes i even consider giving up but like trials is the best thing to ever happen to me and i really want to keep going.

Like if i sit alone i just think about how crappy i am and when i am with other people its just like their all way better then me and its f**king killing.

Is there any way to get outta this rut without damaging my self or my bike severly??

Sorry for the emo thread im just pretty down and out right now.

I enjoy it because if it was only riding then I would get board. But all that stuff gives it different aspects.

So it’s not just riding riding riding. It teaches you how to wait and stuff.

Just chill and take a slower pace of life.

or you’ll have a hart attack by the time you 30 lol

Ride for the sake of riding man. Ride because you like to ride. Don't worry about other people.

Lets be honest here...

I suck balls at trials. Like, there is sucking and then there is what I do. It's like if there was a king of sucking I would be his assistant or some shit.

I ride because I have fun. I get nervous when I grab my bike and go outside, but that goes away right away after I start up. Everyone on this forum rides better than I do. Everyone I see outside rides better than I do. I was doing catwalks off a curb the other day and coming down this big ass hill by my house is this kid (couldnt have been more than 16) does a wheelie for a solid 150ft (50m) and shows me up like the jack ass I am. I felt bad, I'll be honest. I got schooled and the kid wasn't even trying. Oh well... some people are better and I keep in mind I'm new to this sport.

I got a little off topic but the point is, ride for yourself man. Don't worry about other people. People are sh*t anyways.

I agree, get out and enjoy.

though i think I may be worse than you. There is always someone worse.

If you get that frustrated, dont quit, but maybe try something else.

Borrow someones BMX or something and have a bash with that. I love riding different disciplines, as when I get frustrated with trials, I'll go hit a skate park, or the other way round. A little break from something is never a bad thing, and after like a week of riding a bmx, you'll be wanting to get back on your trials bike.

Maybe try and mix up your riding a bit as well. Play on some small walls and try just totally random moves and learn silly little things. You'll always have more fun doing something like that, than having a competition to see who can sidehop the highest ect. If you get frustrated with a certain move or line, leave it and come back later on and try with a fresh mind.

don't worry the same thing happens to me i feel like stopping trials about twice a week but when i get my bike fixed i don't want to go in at night because although im not the best on a bike but i find it so fun going out riding at the weekend with all my mates it's great crack. Just try and not get annoyed.

Hm...I know what you mean.

I've found th at eating a big meal before riding really helps, gives you that extra boost. And stay hydrated as well!

Whenever I have some object that seems just out of my reach, I'll stay there until I get it (sometimes 50+ attempts), so just keep at it, have fun, and don't get pissed! haha.

Well, there's always someone out there who's worst than you.

This might sound bad, but everytime I think I suck, I would think of this rider which everyone doesn't like and say to myself: "Well, at least I can do those moves which he can't do."

Just ride for the fun of it. At the end of the day, just make sure you had fun and enjoyed yourself.

It really frustrates me when one of my parts is broken or damaged and I can't ride...

But I have noone to compete with because I'm the only in my city that rides trials...I'm thinking many times that I am scrap and all these but I simply can't stop. It's like a virus that makes you keep riding and never stop...

Just try to avoid getting frustrated by thinking that you have made a progress and you will bw better the next time you will ride...

This will make you to ride better, have a smaller number of accidents and it's also good for your health...
