Front Disc Brake!

Look at this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10083 see the bit the caliper is connected to that is the adapter you can get all diffrent sizes of these for all difrent sizes of rotor (Y)

It's looks like the kind of the hope mono, dont know what kind of fitting that is, its doesnt look at all like that avid

I was focusing more on the adapter than the avid its self lol it was just an idea of what i mean have you got a disk brake on your bike at the moment ?

No i havent, new to the whole aspect lol, im just sick of setting up my front hs33 all the time, i like the way discs look as well, really do want one.

the adaptor you need is dependent one 1. the make of disc brake you are going to buy and 2. the size of the rotor.

generally if you are buying new then you get the correct adaptor for the supplied rotor.

on a stock 180mm ish and 200mm ish are the most common sizes.

what brakes are you looking at?

No i havent, new to the whole aspect lol, im just sick of setting up my front hs33 all the time, i like the way discs look as well, really do want one.

Front magura isant bad with good pads you will get the same braking power as a disk plus they're alot lighter i run front magura at the moment and i love it its up to you though if you care more about looks or if you care more about weight your choice (Y)
